It’s a case of a big brother helping a little brother, and the Ayala Coop performed its role to the hilt when it donated one laptop and one printer to the Coopguard Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Calamba, Laguna.
The Coopguard MPC is an employee cooperative of the Cooperative Development Authority-Calamba Extension Office and MIMAROPA Extension Office with more than 50 members. It is engaged in lending and marketing operations and has been registered since June 1992.
The equipment donated by the Ayala Coop will greatly help the said cooperative in the management of files and its recording and printing requirements, providing the small coop much-needed equipment it was not able to purchase previously because of its limited resources.
Earlier, the Coopguard MPC sought the help of the Ayala Coop through its chairperson, Ismael Fampula, for the said donation. Receiving the equipment turned over by Jonas Rojo, Membership Engagement and Development Head of the Ayala Coop, during a visit to the Coopguard MPC office was Pedro Defensor Jr., regional director of the CDA Region IV-A, and Danica Real, bookkeeper of the Coopguard MPC.
